Studying in Cyprus

My exchange study place was in Nicosia at the European University Cyprus.

The purpose

The purpose or the stay was to develop my personal and professional skills in an international environment and also to experience the cultural differences and to achieve a better understanding of the International society.

Personally I have improved my English skills, as lessons and interaction with other people was in English. I personally feel that I have become better at meeting other people and I have also become more aware of how different people have different cultures and standards and therefore must be approached in different ways- so I have become a more open and experienced in approaching different people.

I have developed competence in following subjects: The Principles of Microeconomics & Macroeconomics, and Organizational Behavior. The theories have been presented thoroughly during lectures, and also shown in practice.

Furthermore, I have learned other relevant concepts surrounding the subjects I study in Denmark.

A good choice

I am happy that I chose to leave Denmark and go to Cyprus and study at the European University Cyprus.

The academic part of the stay truly lived up to the standards that I am used to in Denmark. The social part of the trip was also as relevant to my education as the academic part. I learned a lot about how to interact with other people and that is something that can’t be taught in a classroom.
