Application for incoming exchange students at Business and Technology related study programmes at UCN

Erasmus+/exchange students

In order to study at UCN Business and UCN Technology as an ERASMUS+ or regular exchange student (non-EU), you need to complete the following forms:

You can find the courses and ECTS at the website under the specific programme. Please note that it is not possible to mix courses from different semesters and different programmes. All students need to follow the full programme and obtain the 30 ECTS that the semester offers. Erasmus/Exchange students also need to take the exams that is planned during the semester on the programme the student will follow at UCN (on the same conditions as full degree students).

You may only complete an application form if your home university has an agreement with UCN. If you are unsure, please consult the International Office of your home institution.

You must complete the application form and learning agreement electronically. Once electronically completed print for signatures and scan to upload in our admission system.

Application procedure

After you have filled in the 2 documents, you have to upload them on our admission system. Please go to admission.ucn.dk. You start by creating an account and after that you login to the admission system and follow the instructions. If you have any questions or any problems with the admission system, please contact us.

Frequently asked questions about application

We recommend that you arrive in Aalborg a couple of days before the beginning of your exchange studies. This will enable you to get to know your surroundings and UCN's facilities before the semester starts.

What are the semester deadlines?

Spring semester

February 1 - June 30

Nomination deadline: October 1
Application deadline: November 1

Fall semester

September 1 - January 30

Nomination Deadline: April 1
Application Deadline: May 1

Please note that students who are accepted for semesters 2-6 may start at the end of January or August. Specific dates for the semester will be announced in the official letter of acceptance. Teaching and examination periods are included in the above dates.

Which documents are mandatory?

If you do not have an English test we will invite students to a Skype interview.

What semesters can I apply for?

All programmes start in September, except for Architectural Technology and Construction Management (ATCM) which start twice a year and Software Development which starts in February.

Fall semester

If you are applying for the fall semester (September-January) you will have to apply for the semesters 1, 3, 5.

Spring semester

If you are applying for the spring semester (February-June) you will have to apply for semesters 2, 4, 6, etc.

If you are applying for the ATCM programme you can apply for each semester at every start of term.

Which signatures do I need?

You need to obtain signatures from your home university on the last page of your application form. Remember that you also have to sign it yourself.

Can I choose courses from different semesters and programmes?

It is not possible to mix and match subjects from different semesters and programmes. Students have to follow the full semester.

Does my learning agreement need to be signed?

Yes. Your learning agreement must be approved and signed by your home university before you upload it in our admission system. We will return the signed learning agreement along with your admission letter.

What is it important to include in my CV?

Make sure to include all relevant work and educational experience on your CV. We take your experience into consideration as we assess tour application.

What about the English test?

We accept the most common English tests: IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, Oxford placement TEST, etc.

Skype interview

If you do not upload an English test along with the rest of your application documents, you will automatically be invited for a Skype interview. During this interview, the interviewer will assess your English capabilities.

The interview takes approximately 15-30 minutes.

You will receive the invitation automatically via the e-mail address you have put in your application. When you have received the invitation you must book an interview within 4 days.

English is my native language

English native speakers are exempted. In this case you need to obtain an official letter from your home institution confirming that you are following a fully English taight programme. This document should be uploaded along with the rest of your application.
