Admission Procedure EU/EEA citizens

On this page citizens from EU countries as well as EEA countries (EEA = Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) will learn how to apply for a programme at UCN

You can apply for admission from 1 February.

How do I apply?

It is mandatory for all applicants to apply through the system known as the KOT system at Here applicants will find a complete guide to the application portal.

Signature page(s)

Applicants must print the signatue page(s) and send them to Your application cannot be evaluated if we have not received your signature page(s) so it is very important that you do so. UCN does not accept the signature page(s) sent by ordinary post.

Please note that deadline for sending the signature page(s) is 15 March.

What should I upload?

Mandatory documents

  1. A copy of your passport or ID card
  2. Documentation of your exams – translated into English and signed by a notary or similar authorised person (if you do not have the final degree certificate yet, you need to attach your grades for the last 2 semesters)
  3. Transcript of records (your grades for the last 2 semesters)
  4. Verification form (PDF) - Applicants must verify subjects, hours of instruction (1 hour = 60 minutes) and grades during the final three years of upper secondary education.
  5. English test
  6. Motivation letter – stating why you want to go to Denmark, why you chose Aalborg/UCN and why you chose the specific programme you are applying for

Optional documents

  1. Contracts or/and recommendations of work experience, competitions, sport activities etc. All translated into English
  2. Recommendations from your teachers (translated into English)

What is the application deadline?
  • Deadline for applicants with a foreign educational background: 15 March at 12:00 (noon)
  • Please note that you have to upload all the required documents on 15 March at 12:00 (noon). You are to forward your final diploma as soon as possible and no later than 4 August 2017.
  • Deadline for applicants with a Danish educational background: 5 July at 12:00 noon
