The academy profession degree programme in service engineering covers the planning, implementation and management of gas, heating, water and sanitation systems

Please note: This programme is only taught in Danish

In this study programme students learn how to plan and design drainage and domestic water supply systems, ventilation systems, gas cookers and gas water heaters.

Students also acquire the competencies to assess how to fit installations in compliance with current Danish legislation. The study programme includes subjects such as: water, heating, drainage, gas, energy consumption calculation and project management. Students also learn about economics and business operations as well as safety and environment.

In Denmark, graduates of Service Engineering either work as self-employed, authorised installation contractors; chief fitters; gas, water and sanitation fitters; control and regulation technicians in the industrial sector; or as heating, water and sanitation technicians.
