Master's Degree Rule

With effect from the summer admission 2020 the Master's degree rule will apply to applicants who have a Master's degree.

The rules regarding limitation on dual education will no longer apply.

According to the Master's degree rule applicants who have completed a Master's degree can only be admitted to a new higher education degree programme in case of vacant places.

The Master's degree rule will apply to all applicants who have completed a Masters's degree in Denmark or abroad.

Exemption from the Master's degree rule

Deadline 1 July 12 o'clock noon (for top-up programmes) 

It will be possible to apply for exemption from the Master's degree rule in case of special circumstances. If you wish to apply for exemption you must upload your application for exemption and documentation showing special circumstances to your application before 1 July 12 o'clock noon.

Exemption will only be granted in case of documented special circumstances that prevent you from using your Master's degree. Please note that labour market matters will not be considered special circumstances.
