Be at the forefront of digital construction
Learn to design, plan and manage building construction works. This involves project planning and 3D modelling, digital planning and controlling, making energy consumption calculations that comply with building regulations as well as hands-on project management on construction sites.
Bridging disciplines with a focus on the finished solution
As an architectural technologist and construction manager, you will often serve as the link that connects architects, engineers, and contractors. Your focus will be on turning construction projects into reality while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and building regulations. The drawings, blueprints and digital models you design must contain all the information required for the construction process on site. For this reason, effective communication is a key part of your role.
You may work in a design office, manage construction projects on site, or take on administrative roles related to property management and maintenance. You may also find work in building permit administration or as a building construction consultant. In all of these roles, you will draw on your understanding of the entire construction process to collaborate with others across disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
Experience the industry during your studies
Throughout the programme, you will visit construction sites and companies involved in project development, design, and the production of building materials. These experiences provide valuable insight into the complex processes behind construction projects and demonstrate how professionals from different disciplines work together to bring buildings from concept to completion.
About the programme
The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Architectural Technology and Construction Management is a 3.5-year programme consisting of seven semesters. During the sixth semester, you will complete a 20-week internship, applying your knowledge and gaining valuable industry experience.
